OBITUARY
Funeral services for Mrs. Lerline Mulkey Smallwood, of Lanett, age 71, will be held Sunday, May 30, 2010, at 12:00 noon, from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ken Brooks officiating. Burial to follow in Potash Cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Saturday, May 29, 2010.
Mrs. Smallwood died Friday, May 28, 2010 at East Alabama Medical Center.
Survivors include her husband, Tommy Smallwood of Lanett; three daughters, Vicki (husband Larry) Clay of Valley, Gail Maddox of Lanett, Barbara Cobb of LaGrange, GA; one son, Phillip Smallwood of Monroe, GA; two sisters, Ruth Knight of Roanoke, Loette Harrison of Carrollton, GA; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Mike Kirkland, Mark Knight, Kenneth Arrington, Brian Overton, Richie Hodges, and Jeremy Sheppard.
Mrs. Smallwood was born, July 6, 1938, the daughter of Leslie J. and Eula Mae Bowen Mulkey. She was of the Church of God faith and a homemaker. Mrs. Smallwood was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Tony Smallwood; two sisters, Joel Star and Sue Johnson.
