Funeral services for Kevin Wayne Schubert Sr., age 52, of Roanoke, will be held Thursday, January 9, 2014, at 2:00 pm from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jeff Burns officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, January 8th.
Mr. Schubert died Monday, January 6, 2014, at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Rhodes Schubert of Roanoke; one son, Kevin Schubert Jr. of Raleigh, NC; two daughters, Kellie Schubert Hill (Emmanuel) and Deborah Schubert (future son-in-law, Brandon Jacob Moon) of Roanoke; one sister, Pam Brown-Silva of New Mexico; one brother, Willie Melvin Schubert Jr. of Raleigh, NC; and five grandchildren.
A former resident of Tucson, Arizona, Mr. Schubert was born July 7, 1961, in Aurora, Illinois, son of Willie Melvin and Norma Elizabeth Weese Schubert. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and had been a truck driver with A. A. Widenhouse. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Douglas Allen Schubert and one sister, Deborah Lynn Schubert.
