Obituary of Floris Wilma Langley

Funeral services for Floris Wilma Langley, age 74, of Roanoke, will be held on Sunday, December 29, 2013, at 2:00 PM from Grace and Mercy Baptist Church with Rev. David Glass and Rev. Charlie Whaley officiating. Burial will follow at Midway Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 PM on Saturday, December 28, 2013. Mrs. Langley will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to services on Sunday beginning at 1:00 pm. Mrs. Langley passed away on Friday, December 27, 2013, at her residence. Survivors include one daughter, Angie Potts (husband, Chuck) of Roanoke; four sons, Kenneth Langley (wife, Melissa) of Wadley, Keith Langley (wife, Ginny) of Wedowee, Phillip Langley and Jacob Langley both of Roanoke; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Peggy Richardson of Roanoke; one brother, Jerry Craven of Wadley; a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Shawn Langley, Kevin Taylor, Will Langley, Nick Potts, Chris Langley, Jacob Langley, and Corey Langley. A Randolph County native, Mrs. Langley was born on July 15, 1939, the daughter of Awbrey and Christine Mitchell Craven. She was a member of Grace and Mercy Baptist Church and she had been a housewife. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold Gene Langley; two sons, Jeffery McKinley and Calvin Lee; one sister, Frances Pate.
